1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of rangolidesigns.net (the "Site"), operated by Simple Rangoli Designs ("we", "us", "our") based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. By visiting the Site you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
We may update these Terms from time to time (see section 14). Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
2. What we offer
The Site is a free, independently-run gallery of step-by-step rangoli, kolam, and muggulu designs. Every post pairs a written walk-through with an embedded YouTube tutorial. We do not sell any product or service through the Site, do not require an account, and do not process payments.
The content is provided for personal, educational, and inspirational use. It is not professional advice of any kind.
3. Our content & copyright
The underlying rangoli, kolam, and muggulu designs are part of India's shared cultural heritage and belong to no one — please honour the tradition by giving credit when you can. What we own (and what these Terms protect) is the work we produced around those designs: the written articles, original photographs and video footage we created, the page layouts, the logos, and the site code. These are owned by Simple Rangoli Designs and protected by copyright and trademark laws in India and internationally.
You may:
- Read any page on the Site for personal use.
- Share a link to any page (linking is encouraged).
- Recreate any design you see here — they belong to the tradition. Posting a photo of your own finished rangoli on your own social media is always fine.
You may not, without prior written permission:
- Copy our written articles, captions, or step-by-step instructions verbatim onto another site, blog, app, or print publication.
- Scrape, mirror, or bulk-download the Site or any portion of it.
- Use our logo, name, or trademarks to imply endorsement.
- Re-host or re-distribute the original photographs and video footage we produced. (Video thumbnails sourced from YouTube remain governed by YouTube's own terms, not ours.)
If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, email us at simplerangolidesign@gmail.com with the URL, your contact details, and proof of ownership. We act on valid notices promptly.
4. YouTube videos & third-party content
Tutorial videos embedded on the Site are hosted by YouTube and remain the property of their respective channel owners. Use of those videos is governed by YouTube's Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy, not these Terms.
Outbound links to other websites (e.g., Wikipedia) are provided for reference. We have no control over and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.
5. Acceptable use
When using the Site, you agree not to:
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Site (e.g., automated scraping, denial-of-service activity, brute-force probing).
- Attempt to access non-public areas, accounts, or systems, or to bypass any security or rate-limiting measure.
- Upload or transmit any virus, malware, or harmful code via comments or contact forms.
- Use the Site or its content to train any AI/ML system without explicit written permission.
- Use the Site in any way that violates applicable laws or these Terms.
7. Availability & changes
The Site is provided on a best-effort basis. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site (a page, category, feature, or the entire Site) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any inconvenience this causes.
8. Disclaimer
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any tutorial, instruction, or design step — use them as inspiration and apply your own judgment.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will Simple Rangoli Designs, its owners, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Site shall not exceed INR 1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees) or the equivalent in your local currency. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you in full.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Simple Rangoli Designs, its owners, and contributors from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Site, (b) any comment or contribution you submit, or (c) your breach of these Terms.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the Site you also accept the Privacy Policy.
12. Minors
The Site is suitable for all ages but is not directed at children. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, a "child" is any person under 18 years of age, and processing of their personal data requires verifiable parental consent. Outside India, lower thresholds may apply (e.g., 13 under US COPPA, 16 in parts of the EU under GDPR-K). If you are below the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, please use the Site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
14. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms as the Site evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged via a banner on the Site for at least 30 days. Your continued use after the revision date constitutes acceptance.

6. Comments & contributions
If you post a comment on the Site, you retain ownership of what you write, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and moderate that comment as part of the Site. This licence ends when the comment is deleted — either by you (via a request to us) or by us (e.g., for moderation reasons).
You are responsible for everything you post. Do not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, abusive, harassing, infringing, sexually explicit, or spam. We may edit, remove, or refuse to publish any comment at our sole discretion and without notice.
