Step by step: how to draw Amazing Simple Lotus Flower Kolam
- Mark the dot grid with a single dot at its centre.
- In the centre draw a small diamond around the centre dot and colour it blue.
- Along each side of the diamond draw a long pointed leaf, set pinwheel-fashion so each leaf runs out to the next lotus — four leaves, coloured green.
- At the top, bottom, left and right draw a lotus of five pointed petals rising from a leaf tip, its centre petal pointing outward.
- Between neighbouring lotuses draw a curling stem ending in a spiral — four spirals in all.
- Colour the lotus petals magenta, leaving the tips white, and outline every shape in white.
