Step by step: how to draw Chariot Rangoli

1. Mark the 6-to-4 dot grid for the chariot body.
2. Across the upper dots draw the roof — a wide trapezoid with a flat top and sloping sides — and fill it with close diagonal hatching.
3. Below the roof draw two twisted-rope pillars, each a stack of linked ovals filled with slanted lines, standing down to the base.
4. Across the lower dots draw the base — a wider trapezoid narrowing downward — and fill it with diagonal hatching to match the roof.
5. Between the pillars draw a diya — a shallow bowl with a flame rising from it — ring the flame with a halo of short strokes and put a small sparkle star above it.
6. On top of the roof draw a small half-circle dome with a ring of dots inside and a short finial rising from its top.
7. From each end of the roof hang a spiral curl, and under the base draw two wheels — circles with spokes and a dotted rim.
