Step by step: how to draw Deepavali Kolam 7×1 Chinna
- Mark the 7-to-1 dot grid — a diamond of rows from seven dots in the middle down to one at each end.
- On each of the four sides of the centre draw a bowl curving outward with three pointed petals pointing in toward the centre — four bowls in all.
- Add veins to the four middle petals so they become large leaves meeting in the centre, with the side petals forming smaller leaves between them.
- Fill the diagonal gap between each pair of bowls with nested arcs.
- Outside each bowl draw a pair of facing spirals around a dot and crown them with a three-petal flower — four flowers in all.
- On each diagonal add a small leaf and a sweeping vine that ends in a spiral curl beside a cluster of dots.
