Step by step: how to draw Lotus Rangoli for Navratri
- Mark the 9-to-5 dot grid — a hexagon of rows widening from 5 at the top to 9 in the middle and narrowing back to 5.
- In the centre draw three teardrop petals meeting at a point — one pointing up, two pointing down to the left and right — with a curved vein in each.
- Enclose them in a hexagon and fringe its top edge and its two lower slanting edges with short tick lines.
- On the upper-left, upper-right and bottom sides of the hexagon draw a lotus: a centre petal with an eye-shaped inner line, flanked by a fan of pointed petals.
- Add a curved vein and a dot in every lotus petal.
- At the top and at the lower-left and lower-right points between the lotuses draw a spiral curl on a short stem.
