Step by step: how to draw Amazing New Year Dots Rangoli Beautiful Kolam Muggulu Design
- Mark a diamond-shaped dot grid — rows widest across the middle and tapering towards the top and bottom points.
- Across the middle write the numerals "2019" in large hollow block figures, with a small dot inside the loop of the 9.
- Above the numerals draw an open lotus with a spiral at its base, rising into a stem with one pair of leaves and a small tulip flower at the top, with a spiral curl on each side of the stem.
- On each side of the lotus stem draw a parrot facing the centre — round head, pointed beak, folded wing and a long tail curving down to the top corner of the outer numeral.
- At the left and right ends of the numerals draw a four-petal flower with a round centre and a spiral tendril curling up above it, then scatter small star flowers around the numerals.
- Below the numerals draw a large rose — a spiral at its heart, layered curling petals around it — resting on three pointed leaves at the bottom point.
- From each side of the rose run a stem up to a small heart-shaped bud under the numerals, with a large serrated leaf on the outer side and a small leaf near the base.
- Colour the numerals orange, the rose red, the parrots green and blue and the side flowers pink with purple centres, then re-trace every outline in white.
