Step by step: how to draw Karthika Masam Deepala Muggulu

1. Mark the 7-to-1 dot grid — seven dots across the middle row narrowing to a single dot at each end.
2. In the centre draw a dot inside a small circle and enclose it in a diamond.
3. Around the diamond draw four leaves in a pinwheel, one along each side of the diamond, each with a line of dots and dashes down its vein.
4. On the four diagonals draw a large teardrop with its point toward the corner.
5. Inside each teardrop draw a small three-petal bud.
6. On each side, between neighbouring teardrops, draw an outward-curving arc fringed with short dashes.
7. Edge each arc with a row of spiral curls to complete the scalloped border.
