Step by step: how to draw New Year Rangoli Pedda Muggulu
- Mark the 14-to-2 dot grid — the middle row of 14 dots, rows stepping down to 2 at the top and bottom.
- Down the centre column write HAPPY in double-line capitals from the top to the middle, and 2023 in double-line numerals below it.
- Across the middle row write NEW to the left of the column and YEAR to the right, so the words form a cross.
- In each of the four quadrants draw a bird in profile — rounded body, pointed beak, a small eye, a feathered tail and a wing marked with short strokes.
- Around each bird add a flowering sprig — a five-petal flower, a few pointed leaves, a spiral curl and a cluster of small dots.
- Go over the letters and outlines in white.
