Step by step: how to draw Happy New Year 2026 Rangoli Designs | Muggulu Kolam with Beautiful Colours
- Mark the 14-to-2 dot grid — rows tapering from 14 in the middle down to 2 at the top and bottom.
- Across the middle rows write HAPPY on the first line, NEW YEAR on the second and 2026 on the third in outlined block letters.
- Above HAPPY draw two mirrored butterflies with rounded dotted wings and narrow striped wings, adding two spiral curls at each outer side.
- Below 2026 draw two larger mirrored butterflies — broad wings filled with dots and narrow striped wings — with two spiral curls at each outer lower side.
- At each end of the 2026 line draw a round bud with a pointed leaf, and at each end of HAPPY add a small flower.
- Fill the letters, butterflies and buds with bright colours and re-trace all the outlines in white.
