Step by step: how to draw Sankranthi Bhogi Kundala Colours Muggulu

1. Mark the dot grid and set a single dot at its centre.
2. From the centre run four sugarcane stalks — up, down, left and right — as segmented bars, each crowned with a fan of leaves.
3. In each of the four quadrants between the stalks draw a rectangular kite with crossed diagonals, a triangular tail flap and two curved strings, each ending in a small teardrop tassel.
4. Beyond the end of each stalk draw a round pongal pot with its mouth facing outward, banded with a zigzag of diamonds and rows of scallops.
5. Heap overflowing pongal at each pot's mouth as a billowing white cloud.
6. On each of the four corners draw a lotus — layered pointed petals over broad leaves.
7. Colour the kites purple, orange, red and blue, the pots in orange, purple and green bands, the lotuses red on one diagonal and blue on the other with green leaves, and fill the pongal white.
