Step by step: how to draw Sankranthi Radhalu Muggulu

1. Mark the 5-to-5 dot grid — five rows of five dots.
2. Draw the chariot base — a straight line along the bottom row with a curved wing sweeping out and up at each end — and fill each wing with a leaf of a centre vein and slanted side veins.
3. Above the base draw two pillars of three stacked pointed ovals each, rising to a straight top bar, with a small leaf inside every oval.
4. Between the pillars draw a diya — a bowl on a short stand with a tall flame — and above it a small starburst of short rays around a dot.
5. On the top bar draw a half-lotus dome — a fan of pointed petals with a dot in each — with a spiral curl at each end of the bar and a small flag on a pole on either side of the dome.
6. Above the dome draw an arched canopy edged with a row of dots and topped with a spike.
7. Below the base draw the wheels — a circle under each pillar — then re-trace the outlines in white.
