Step by step: how to draw Chinna Chukkala Muggulu Small

1. Mark the 5-to-5 dot grid and enclose it in a square frame.
2. Inside the square draw a double-lined diamond whose four points touch the middle of each side, and fill its centre with a cross-hatched lattice.
3. In each of the four points of the diamond band draw a teardrop holding a dot and a short line, flank each teardrop with two small curls, and place a spiral curl midway along each side of the band.
4. Fill the four corner triangles between the diamond and the square with the same cross-hatched lattice.
5. On the top, left and right sides of the square draw a semicircle of three concentric arcs.
6. On the bottom side draw a semicircle of concentric arcs and ring it with seven pointed petals to make a half lotus.
