Step by step: how to draw Early Morning Muggulu

1. Mark the 5 to 5 dot grid — five rows of five dots.
2. In each of the four corners of the grid draw a four-loop flower — four rounded loops crossing at a central knot — and fill the loops with white.
3. Round the centre draw a square with clipped corners, and inside it a four-petal flower — a pointed petal toward each side — with fans of concentric arcs filling the square's four corners.
4. On the middle of each side of the square draw a small bud flanked by two spiral curls.
5. On the top and bottom edges draw a lamp with a flame under a dotted arch, and at the left and right edges a sideways three-lobed bud edged with a dotted arc.
6. Link the loop flowers along the outer edge with curling vines that end in spirals and dot the curves.
7. Go over all the outlines in white.
