Step by step: how to draw 6×6 Muggulu Patterns with Dots Simple Flower Rangoli and Ghummam Kolam

1. Mark the 6-to-6 dot grid — six rows of six dots.
2. In the centre place a dot and draw four small hooked curls around it, pointing to the top, bottom, left and right.
3. On each of the four diagonals draw a large four-petal flower — pointed curved petals with a small teardrop inside each — with one petal pointing at the centre.
4. Put a red dot at the heart of each flower.
5. Along the top, bottom, left and right edges link the neighbouring flowers with a curving tendril that ends in a spiral, and dot the tendril ends.
6. Dust the petals lightly with white and re-trace the outlines.
