Step by step: how to draw Kutti Rangoli Designs
- Mark the 4-to-2 dot grid.
- Draw two vertical and two horizontal lines crossing in a hash shape, leaving a small square in the middle.
- Enclose each of the eight line ends in a long teardrop loop so the hash becomes a four-way flower of paired petals.
- Curve each side of the central square into a lens petal and set a small dot flower in the middle.
- Run a dotted line out along each axis between the paired loops and end it with a small flower — a ring with a fan of rounded petals — at the top, bottom, left and right.
- In each of the four corners draw a spiral curl framed by scalloped petals, and fringe the petals with short strokes.
