Step by step: how to draw 2 Beautiful Tuesday Special Rangolis

1. Mark the 7 to 1 dot grid — rows of 1, 3, 5, 7, 5, 3 and 1 forming a diamond.
2. In the centre draw four curved chevrons pointing inward from the top, bottom, left and right, and join them with curved lines into a four-petalled pointed flower.
3. From the centre extend curved stems along the four diagonals, each ending in a pair of facing spiral curls.
4. On each of the four axes, between the diagonal curls, draw a small bud with three stalks each tipped with a dot.
5. At the outer end of each axis draw a pointed leaf with a line down its middle.
6. In each of the four corners draw a rose — a spiral centre ringed by rounded lobed petals shaded with short strokes.
7. Link each corner rose to the neighbouring leaf tips with curved lines so an outer frame runs around the design.
