Step by step: how to draw Sankranthi Kunda Muggulu
- Mark the 6-to-6 dot grid — six rows of six dots.
- In the centre draw a four-petal flower — a small circle with a spiral inside and four broad rounded petals pointing up, down, left and right — and put three short dashes inside each petal.
- On each of the four diagonals draw a tilted pot — a long rounded body pointing in toward the centre with a wide flat mouth facing the outer corner.
- Fill each pot body with a row of zigzag triangles and edge its flat mouth with a band of small dots.
- Out of every mouth draw scalloped bumps of boiling-over pongal spilling toward the corner.
- Above the centre flower, between the two upper pots, draw a diya — a shallow bowl on a short stand with a flame rising from it.
- Re-trace all the outlines in white.
