Step by step: how to draw Special Small Deepam Kolam With Dots 4

1. Mark the 4 to 4 dot grid.
2. In each of the four quarters draw a deepam — a rounded bowl on two dots with a pointed flame-leaf and a rounded petal rising inside it — the four lamps turned towards the centre.
3. In the centre, between the four lamps, fill the square with a crosshatched net of straight lines.
4. Along the inner curve of each bowl add a row of short radiating strokes.
5. On each of the four sides draw a long pointed leaf with a dotted midrib, its tip pointing outward.
6. At each of the four corners draw a flourish of curling spirals with a small heart and two teardrop petals at the tip.
7. Re-trace the outlines in white.
