Step by step: how to draw Ugadi Special Muggulu 7

1. Mark the 7-to-1 dot grid — a diamond of dots tapering to a single dot at each end.
2. In the centre draw a square and fill it with a criss-cross lattice of lines to make a checked tile.
3. Around the square draw four pointed petals curving the same way, like a pinwheel.
4. Inside each petal draw short lines from the square's edge, each tipped with a dot, like stamens.
5. From each petal tip run a curving vine out to the top, bottom, left and right, ending in a spiral curl and a small looped flower.
6. On each of the four diagonals draw a lotus bud — two rounded petals cupping a pointed, veined leaf — and edge it with a row of dots.
