Step by step: how to draw Latest Flower Kolam Designs

1. Mark the 5-to-3 dot grid — rows of 3, 4, 5, 4 and 3 dots to make a hexagon.
2. Draw two large overlapping triangles through the dots to make a six-pointed star.
3. In the central hexagon draw a small circle and ring it with six petals to make a flower.
4. Around the flower, in the six corners of the inner hexagon, draw a spiral, and fill the six star points with a lattice of crossing lines.
5. At each of the six star points draw a fan flower — five rounded petals over a dot.
6. Between the flowers draw six teardrop loops, and add a striped leaf beside the bottom flower.
7. Re-trace the outlines in white.
