Step by step: how to draw New Year Kolam With Dots
- Mark the 7-to-4 dot grid.
- In the centre draw a hexagon.
- On three alternate sides of the hexagon — upper left, upper right and below — draw a large six-petal flower with pointed petals around a dot centre.
- Fill the centre hexagon light blue and the flowers pink, orange and red.
- In each flower draw six lines out from the centre, one along each petal, ending in a dot, and write "2025" in white inside the hexagon.
- Close the three gaps between the flowers — above the hexagon, lower left and lower right — into cells that complete a ring around the centre.
- Fill the three cells purple, blue and green.
- Write "HAPPY" in white in the top cell above 2025 and re-trace all the outlines in white.
