Step by step: how to draw New Model Rangoli Chukkala Muggulu

1. Mark the 9-to-1 dot grid — rows tapering from 9 in the middle down to 1 at the top and bottom.
2. In the centre draw a four-petal flower with heart-shaped petals around a dot inside a small circle, with two short strokes running from the circle into each petal.
3. Draw four more matching flowers — one above, one below, one to the left and one to the right of the centre — five flowers in a cross.
4. Link the centre flower to the outer flowers with wavy S-shaped vines.
5. On each of the four diagonals draw a spray of three small leaves fanning from one point, with dots in one of the leaves.
6. At the outer corners add spiral curls and pointed veined leaves sweeping outward.
