Step by step: how to draw Rangoli How to Draw 7 to 7

1. Mark the 7-to-7 dot grid — seven rows of seven dots.
2. At the top, bottom, left and right draw a chevron of three parallel V-shaped lines with its point toward the centre.
3. Close the open end of each chevron with a two-lobed curved edge, place a small half-circle with rays inside it, and add a pointed teardrop leaf with a filled inner drop outside the notch.
4. In the centre draw a starburst of straight rays, each tipped with a small circle.
5. In the four diagonal gaps between the chevrons draw a square filled with a criss-cross lattice.
6. Beyond each lattice square on the diagonals draw a pointed teardrop bud with an inner leaf line, and fill each outer corner with a cluster of spiral curls and scrolling tendrils.
7. Add spiral curls beside each side teardrop leaf.
