Step by step: how to draw Rangoli Using Geometrical Shapes

1. Mark the 9-to-1 dot grid.
2. On the top, bottom, left and right of the grid draw a pair of overlapping diamonds, so each pair crosses to make a small diamond in its middle.
3. Join the four diamond pairs with straight lines into a square frame around the centre.
4. In the centre draw a four-petal flower with pointed petals set on the diagonals.
5. At each corner of the frame draw a rose — a spiral centre wrapped in rounded petals — with a pointed leaf reaching outward.
6. Fringe each rose spiral on two opposite sides with short strokes and end each corner leaf with a spiral curl.
