Step by step: how to draw Rangoli With Geometrical Shapes

1. Mark the 9-to-1 dot grid.
2. Draw four diamonds around the dots directly above, below, left and right of the centre dot.
3. Box each diamond in a square frame and join the frames into a grid, with a square in the middle around the centre dot.
4. In the centre square draw a four-petal flower with petals on the diagonals, and in each diamond a small four-petal flower with a round centre.
5. In each corner block draw two half-circles against the frame and fill them with spiral curls.
6. At each outer corner draw a rose — a spiral inside a circle — ringed with heart-shaped petals.
7. Shade every petal with a light layer of white powder.
