Step by step: how to draw Sankranthi Muggulu Designs With Colours

1. Mark the 11-to-6 dot grid — rows growing from 6 at the top to 11 in the middle and back to 6 at the bottom.
2. In the centre draw a dot inside a small circle and ring it with three pointed petals — two pointing up to the sides and one pointing down — with a dot in each.
3. Above the centre and to its left and right draw three roses, each a spiral inside a ring of rounded scalloped petals.
4. Beneath the top rose and on the inner side of the two side roses draw pairs of long pointed leaves on short stalks.
5. In the gaps at the upper-left, upper-right and bottom draw a three-pointed crown of petals with a round bud on its outer side, ringed with small heart-shaped leaves.
6. Fill with colours — pink, orange and red roses, green leaves, purple crowns, magenta buds and teal hearts — and outline everything in white.
