Step by step: how to draw 11 by 6 Simple Kolam

1. Mark the 11-to-6 dot grid — the widest row of eleven dots tapering to six at the ends.
2. In the centre draw a six-petal flower with pointed petals around a small circle.
3. Inside each petal draw a short line from the circle ending in a small circle, like a stamen.
4. Around the centre draw six more six-petal flowers of the same kind in a hexagonal ring — two above, one on each side and two below.
5. In each of the six gaps between the outer flowers draw a small teardrop loop with curved arcs sweeping from it around the centre flower.
6. Place a pair of dots beyond the tip of each centre petal, inside the arcs.
