Step by step: how to draw Beautiful Friday Special Kolam
- Mark the 9-to-9 dot grid — nine rows of nine dots.
- In the centre draw a small circle around the middle dot.
- Above, below, left and right of the centre draw four oblong blocks with pointed inner ends, each filled with nested chevrons pointing towards the centre.
- Cap the outer end of each block with a small teardrop flame.
- On each of the four corners draw a rounded four-lobed frame.
- Inside the inner corner of each frame draw a small bud of pointed petals.
- Join each corner frame to a neighbouring block with a long sweeping curve, so the four curves swirl around the centre.
