Step by step: how to draw Ugadi Rangoli Beautiful Ugadi Muggulu

1. Mark the 10-to-2 dot grid — rows tapering from 10 across the middle to 2 at the top and bottom.
2. Write UGADI in plain capital letters across the middle row and again down the centre column, sharing the letter A where the two words cross.
3. In each of the four quadrants between the arms of the letters draw a mango-and-leaf sprig — a curved teardrop mango with a small curl at its stalk and pointed leaves fanning from a short stem.
4. Give each leaf a centre vein, and on one leaf in every sprig add short slanted side veins like a neem leaf.
5. Set the mango at the top of the two upper sprigs, pointing up and out, and at the bottom of the two lower sprigs, hanging below the leaves.
6. Re-trace the letters and sprigs in white.
