Step by step: how to draw Butterfly Rangoli Designs With 8 to 8

1. Mark a square grid of dots.
2. On each of the four corners draw a butterfly body along the diagonal — a long slender body in two pointed segments.
3. Give each butterfly two wings running along the edges from the corner, each wing made of two rounded lobes with a small circle inside each lobe.
4. From the inner end of each body draw two curved antennae ending in spiral curls, pointing towards the centre.
5. In the centre draw a circle with an inward-curving square inside it and a dot in the middle.
6. Colour the wings green, the bodies magenta, the centre square yellow inside a red ring, and outline everything in white.
