Step by step: how to draw Very Easy Beginners Kolam 8-2
- Mark the 8-to-2 dot grid.
- Around the centre draw four C-shaped hooks, each curled around a dot and opening diagonally outward.
- In the middle of the four hooks draw a small flower of four loop petals around a dot.
- On each of the four diagonals draw a layered flower of rounded overlapping petals around a spray of short stamen lines.
- At the top, bottom, left and right draw a large pointed leaf with a central vein and slanting side veins.
- Behind each diagonal flower draw a pointed petal outline holding a small leaf, giving the whole pattern an eight-pointed star outline.
