Step by step: how to draw New Year Rangoli Kolam
- Mark the 8-to-2 dot grid — rows tapering from 8 down to 2 for a wide field.
- Across the middle write the numerals 2 0 2 5 in tall double-outline strokes, spaced along one row.
- Below the numerals draw a pair of lotus flowers side by side, each with a large heart-shaped centre petal holding a spiral, flanked by two pointed outer petals.
- Between and beside the two lotuses draw pointed leaves — a pair in the middle where the flowers meet and one at each outer end.
- Mirror the same pair of lotuses and leaves above the numerals, facing upward.
- Fill the centre petals pink and red, the outer petals turquoise and the leaves green, then re-trace every outline in white.
